Are DeepLens purchased on eBay eligible for the competition?

Are DeepLens purchased on eBay eligible for the competition? I did not attend NIPS or re:Invent2017, but notice some people who had are selling their DeepLens on eBay. If I bought a DeepLens on eBay could I then participate in the competition?

  Hey!

  That's a good question, but the rules specifically say you must get the hardware at one of the two events, "Makers must do the following to participate in the Hackathon: Attend AWS re:INVENT 2017, held in Las Vegas, NV from November 27, 2017 – December 1, 2018 or The NIPS conference, Long Beach CA."

  I'm sorry! We hope to run another competition after the products are available commercially.
